About

Sam Gracie, formerly known as Avid Beats, is a versatile indie and electronic artist, singer/songwriter and music producer from London, UK.

Making music since 2017, Sam instantly felt addicted to the way music allowed him to express himself so freely. His extensive catalogue includes hundreds of original works and collaborations with independent artists and producers from around the world.

Each of Sam's projects tells a specific story, both musically and visually. Something he finds when looking back on past creations is the way a piece of work can make him feel the same profound way he did when he created it. Sam increasingly creates captivating videos for his songs, such as the beautiful stop motion video he made for his alternative art pop piece "Can you find me, you, us?" with Cece Alaniz, which uses poetic visual metaphors to evoke the layered meanings of the song, creating an emotional and vivid visual tapestry.

Discussing topics such as emotions and the environment, Sam's lyrics are authentic and from the heart. He writes many of them in nature, which is one of his biggest inspirations, and loves to link his feelings to things that he sees and experiences while spending time in nature. Sam’s connection with nature is not limited to music - campaigning to protect green spaces and the environment is also a central aspect of his life.

Sam's creative approach allows him constantly to experiment, exploring new styles and pushing boundaries, while retaining his distinctive sound. Sam's love of sound and audio has led him to create his own field recorded and sound designed samples, ranging from drum and percussion hits to melodic elements, which he uses in a multitude of his works. He has published tens of sample packs for producers over the course of a few years.

Sam is available for hire as Sam Gracie Tillbrook, offering a variety of production services, from creative composition and instrumentation; to meticulous mixing, mastering and editing. To every project, he brings his vibrant ideas; eclectic musical taste and knowledge; wide-ranging collaboration experiences; and his receptiveness to new styles of music; combined with a close attention to the artist’s vision.
